Join PALMA Colectiva for a transformative Full Moon Ceremony with Cacao + Sound on Thursday March 13th in the Lavender Barn Spa at Mattei's Tavern with Kelley Jean Anderson and Monique Williamson.This is a very special Full Moon as it also is a Lunar Eclipse. This is Full Moon in Virgo, also known as the Blood Moon. During a lunar eclipse, the Sun, Moon, and Earth all align so that the Earth comes in between the Moon and Sun. This means that the Earth will cast a shadow over the Moon (also known as the umbra). When the Moon is in the umbra of the Earth, the Earth casts a reddish shadow, hence the name Blood Moon. The full moon in Virgo is a time to heal. It’s a time to sit with our pain and heartache and give ourselves compassion. Virgo is the sign of the goddess. Seemingly perfect unto herself, this archetype carries many gifts, but the most important one is the power to heal and forgive.
We will begin with naming our intentions and serving our ceremonial Cacao, which has been used by indigenous communities for thousands of years as heart opening medicine. Cacao is a gentle and grounded means to connect deeper with self, spirit, and community. After the Cacao we will begin a guided meditation focused on shedding parts of ourselves and our lives that are ready to detach from our "story". We will then relax into a restorative sound bath with Reiki, that will leave the group feeling deeply renewed. Often the combination of cacao, sound, meditation and Reiki can leave us with insights, creative visions, and new perspectives in relation to themes and challenges occurring in our daily lives.
Following the Ceremony, everyone will be invited to change into their bathing suits for an herb healing to help clear and prepare their body and spirit for the Thermal Ritual. The thermal baths include the nourishing spa amenities at the Lavender Barn: the hot tub, sauna, steam room and cold plunge. Leave feeling centered, refreshed and deeply connected.
PALMA classes are nonrefundable, however a credit can be issued toward another class if cancelled within 48 hours.
