Join PALMA Collectiva and Concetta Troskie MA, LPC-S, BC-DMT, RDT, SEP, for Embodied Presence: A Relational Exploration half day retreat. This immersion is an invitation to slow down and get curious about how we inhabit our bodies, how we connect with others, and how our nervous systems shape the way we move through the world. When our reactions feel out of our control, or when it’s hard to stay present in relationship, it’s often our body speaking—trying to make sense of old experiences, trying to protect us. Learning to listen to these somatic signals is the beginning of more intentional, mindful living.

Together, we’ll explore how the nervous system’s responses to the world are formed, and how they influence our sense of safety, connection, and belonging. We’ll look at how early experiences—especially those that were overwhelming or painful—can quietly live on in the body, influencing how we react, relate, and experience ourselves.

This is a sacred space to gently attend to trauma and unprocessed emotion living in the body, and to practice meeting what arises with compassion. We’ll weave together simple movement, creative exploration, reflection, and conversation to deepen awareness and shared co-regulation.Together, we will explore:
* how the nervous system expresses safety and stress
* how attachment and survival strategies show up in our adult relationships
* the physiology behind anxiety, depression, and disconnection
* ways to stay rooted and present when emotions feel intense

The workshop draws from somatic psychology, dance/movement therapy, drama therapy, and somatic experiencing. It’s open to anyone wanting to understand their body’s story a little more deeply, and to those who hold space for others—facilitators, therapists, wellness practitioners—who wish to listen with greater sensitivity to the silent language of the body.
