Somatic Healing Training with Concetta Troskie Saturday June 14th

Join PALMA Collectiva and Concetta Troskie MA, LPC-S, BC-DMT, RDT, SEP, for Somatic Healing Training, a comprehensive introduction to the somatic expressions of the nervous system. This foundation training grounds us in the wisdom of the body, focusing on movements, sensations and impulses. This approach to trauma - informed space holding teaches us to defer to the timing of the body, and how to help ourselves stay rooted in body awareness.

Through a blend of theoretical learning, expressive exploration, personal discovery and
practical applications, you will learn how to support the integration of trauma
expression when it arises. You will understand the physiological underpinnings of
trauma in order to self-regulate, stay present and feel more empowered. This unique training integrates principles from trauma psychology, dance/movement therapy, drama therapy and Somatic Experiencing. Together, we will learn to
attend to the expression of trauma in the body, and to facilitate self-regulation for others, as well as for our own nervous systems. We will also learn to identify our own nervous system’s defensive strategies, and explore how somatic activation impacts our capacity for effective facilitation.
